Charles Takeo Ozaki of Eau Gallie, FL was one of the first graduates of the College of Medicine in 1960.
In the early 1900s, three families of Japanese immigrants settled along Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast railway in the town of Eau Gallie. Some were former residents of Yamato the first Japanese colony in Florida. They worked as farmers, and were successful developing the poor soil of Florida. From this humble beginning, subsequent generations included physicians, judges, college professors and World War II heroes.
